At McKeefry Dental we offer a wide range of solutions for replacing missing or lost teeth. On top dental implants and dental bridges we also offer dentures.
What are dentures?
Dentures provide a lower cost option to replace missing teeth compared with dental implants and bridges.
Dentures, often referred to as 'false teeth' are a prosthetic device constructed to replace one or more missing teeth.
There are several types of dentures ranging from full to partial dentures. Dentures are also made of different types of materials depending on the case.
In addition, there are a range of options for anchoring the dentures in the mouth. This may include implants for full dentures and the use of denture clasps for partial dentures.
Dentures may take between 2 - 10 appointments to make and fit.
For more complex cases you may be referred to a dental specialist called a prosthodontist or a clinical dental technician.
Dr Sally Woods works with patients to restore their smiles with dentures.
Sally describes herself as a ‘gentle practitioner’ whose key focus is on customer care and support for her patients. She likes all aspects of general dentistry and takes the time to ensure her patients understand treatment options.
Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding with a surgical or invasive procedure, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
