COVID-19 Screening

As per the Ministry of Health and Dental Council of New Zealand Guidelines, all visitors to the dental practice need to answer a list of screening questions prior to their appointment. Dentistry creates more aerosols compared to most other industries, which is one of the common pathways of virus spread. Even at no/low levels of community transmission of COVID-19 we need confirmation that our visitors are suitable to attend the dental practice.

Please read the following questions and get in contact with us either via email reception@mckeefrydental.co.nz or phone (04 473 7802) if you do answer “yes” to any of the below questions within 24 hours of your appointment:

  • Do you have a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19?
  • Are you waiting for a Covid-19 test or results, or considered a probable case, or been asked to self isolate?
  • Have you had close contact (as defined in MOH guidelines) with other people in the last 14 days who are probable or confirmed to have Covid-19?
  • Do you have new or worsening symptoms of an acute respiratory infection with at least one of the following: cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose sneezing or post-nasal drip, loss of smell, with or without fever?
  • Have you travelled overseas in the last 14 days and been required to quarantine since arrival in New Zealand?
  • Have you had direct contact with someone in the last 14 days who has travelled overseas and been required to quarantine since their arrival in New Zealand?
  • Do you work on an international aircraft or shipping vessel?
  • Do you work or have you recently been at an international airport or maritime port in area/conveniences visited by international arrivals?

Thank for your time keeping our community safe from COVID-19.
