Free dental treatment for all teens
Any School students from year 9 through to their 18th birthday receive free dental care at McKeefry Dental.
Children in New Zealand who meet the eligibility criteria for publicly funded health and disability services are entitled to free basic oral health services from year 9 to 17 years of age (until their 18th birthday). Excludes orthodontics, teeth whitening, specialist x-rays and dental hygienist appointments. Please refer to the Ministry of Health website for full terms and conditions.

Dental Treatment: 2 – 12 Years of Age
For any children aged 2 - 12 offer our own in-house discount scheme for the following dental treatments.
- Check-ups
- Cleans; and
- Standard dental x-rays
If treatment is required then the fees for treatment will be discussed at the time of the examination appointment. *Terms and conditions apply talk to our front desk for more information.
Not all dental clinics offer free adolescent dentistry.

Check your child's eligibility for publicly funded dental treatment. Then enroll them as early as possible, so that you can arrange their first check-up with us.

Additional Dental Services
There are some of the services that the Government does not cover and on certain occasions these may be recommended for your child. These include:
- Cosmetic treatments
- An appointment with our dental hygienist who will give your child a thorough clean, to further improve their oral hygiene
- Specific high-care dental products
- Orthodontic treatments
